  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery, cook until tender.
  2. Stir in flour until well blended. Gradually add milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly.
  3. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  4. Reduce heat, add cheese, and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
