- 1 cup cornmeal
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
In a bowl, mix the cornmeal with the remaining cup of water.
Slowly add the cornmeal mixture to the boiling water, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring frequently, until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
Season with salt and serve hot.
