  • 2 cups masa harina
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup refried beans for filling
  • 1 cup shredded cheese for filling
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce for topping
  • 0.5 cup salsa for topping

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, warm water, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls.
  3. Flatten each ball into a thick disk.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each disk for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Slice each gordita open and fill with refried beans and shredded cheese.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce and salsa. Serve warm.
