Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 8 slices Rye Bread
- 4 slices Swiss Cheese
- 4 tablespoon Butter softened
Special Sauce
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
1. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the special sauce. Set aside.
2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized. Remove and set aside.
3. Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
4. In the same skillet, cook the patties until desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
5. Butter one side of each slice of rye bread. Place buttered side down on the skillet.
6. Add a slice of Swiss cheese, a beef patty, caramelized onions, and a generous amount of special sauce. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
7. Cook until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. Flip and cook the other side.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
