  • 8 cups leaf lettuce torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 slices bacon diced
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  2. 2. Add vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture is heated through.
  3. 3. Place lettuce in a large mixing bowl. Pour the hot dressing over the lettuce and toss to coat. Sprinkle with cooked bacon.
  4. 4. Serve immediately.
