Main Ingredients
- 250 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 300 ml milk warm
- 150 ml water warm
- 1 teaspoon yeast instant
Mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
In another bowl, combine warm milk and water, then add yeast.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
Cover the bowl and let the batter rest for 1 hour.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and grease crumpet rings.
Pour batter into the rings and cook until bubbles form and the top is set.
Remove the rings and flip the crumpets to cook the other side until golden brown.
