  • 4 fillets Catfish fresh or thawed
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. 2. Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, coating well.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Fry catfish fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. 5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
